In Memory Of Horace Aberdeen

It is with much sadness that we report the passing of one of Horace Aberdeen

Horace was a prominent Cultural ambassador in the Trinidad & Tobgo community in the DMV. He participated in the First Carnival in DC, pre 1978 and also had a hand in establishing Caribbean Festivals Summer in the park which started on MLK park on 15th Street, which then moved to the Ellipse, a park south of the White House, on the Nationl Mall.

Horace was a huge steelband proponent, supporting several Steelbands in the DMV and especially his beloved BP Renegades where he was a lifelong supporter and was fortunate to witness one last time to victory of his beloved Renegades in this year's large bands Panorama Finals.

As one observer said, it seems like the only thing Renegades lost for this year was one of their biggest supporters.
