I hope this message finds you well! My name is Dr. Makeda J. Greene, founder of Black Mom Society, a community committed to empowering Black mothers through advocacy, wellness, and leadership. As a school psychologist with over 12 years of experience in education and mental health—and as a mother myself—I’ve always been deeply passionate about creating spaces where Black moms can connect, learn, and lead.

I am excited to personally invite you to Black Mom Society's upcoming Community Town Hall Series—a space for moms, by moms, where we’ll be diving into some of the most pressing issues facing our community today. These town halls are designed to foster engaging, thoughtful conversations that empower our audience with the knowledge and tools to navigate critical issues. Our goal is to inspire the community to understand the importance of voting, advocate for themselves in healthcare, and prioritize mental health, especially for mothers. We want an informal yet impactful atmosphere, and your participation would make a significant difference. With your help, we can spark meaningful conversations and action!

    Here are the event details:

    What we’ll discuss:

    • Healthcare & Maternal Health: Advocating for reproductive rights, addressing maternal mortality rates, and ensuring accessible childcare.
    • Education & Local Elections: Examining school safety, book bans, special education, and the impact of local government on K-12 education.
    • Mental Health & Moms: How mothers can prioritize their well-being while navigating the challenges of modern motherhood.
    • The Importance of Voting: Understanding why our participation in local and national elections matters more than ever.

These conversations will be informal, yet impactful, with a focus on equipping moms with the knowledge and tools to advocate for themselves, their families, and their communities. We want this to be a space where you can connect, share, and learn alongside other amazing moms!

Feel free to forward and share with your friends and networks. In addition, please  reach out if you have any questions. I’d love to see you there and hear your voice as we discuss these important topics.

Together, let’s make a difference for ourselves and our families!
